Music to my Eyes

Despite growing up in a musically-inclined household, auditory creativity has never been my forte. I’m far too impatient to take the time to learn notes and chords—I just want to know how to play a song (a sentiment that brought much annoyance to my guitar-playing father). Regardless of my musical incapabilities, growing up around music and musical instruments has made me greatly appreciate the craft as a decor element.

Musical instruments are inherently works of art, so even though they're used for function, they add style and visual interest within a space. I’m especially fond of the ole’ piano-top vignette. What better surface to style your shit upon than an antique Steinway? And guitars—don’t even get me started. For those who are unaware, guitars are the easiest way to boost the attractiveness level of both your space and yourself. It’s scientifically proven. I don’t know what else to tell you.
